Kylie Banks
Hello, and welcome. My name is Kylie Banks, and I’m a psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Western University. As a transgender woman, I bring both professional training and deeply personal lived experience into the therapy space—especially when working with those navigating issues related to gender, identity, and belonging.
I offer individual and couples therapy for adolescents and adults.
My approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, openness, and authenticity. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Humanistic principles to help clients build a deeper connection with themselves and others. These methods allow us to explore and understand the different parts of who you are—without judgment or pressure to change.
I’m especially passionate about working with members of marginalized communities, and I actively seek to learn more about the diverse experiences of people who have been disenfranchised or excluded. My goal is to provide a safe, affirming space where you can explore your identity, work through complex trauma, and begin to heal.
Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or questions about gender and sexual identity, I’m here to walk alongside you. Therapy with me is a collaborative process—rooted in trust, compassion, and the belief that every person has the capacity to grow and heal.
You don’t have to go through this alone. I’m here to support you, exactly as you are.
