Who do I see: Adults

A little about our work together:

Miranda (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker with extensive experience in the fields of community mental healthcare and social services. She holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto, a Graduate Diploma from McMaster University in Clinical Behavioural Sciences and is engaged in continual learning about trauma, PTSD and evidence-based care.

Miranda’s clinical focus is supporting adult clients navigating challenges related to trauma, anxiety, stress, emotional dysregulation, relationships and life transitions. Her practice is neurodiversity-affirming and is attuned to the unique needs, strengths, cultures and identities of each client. Using a flexible and integrative approach, she draws on different modalities and tools to meet clients where they are, in a way that is meaningful to each individual.

Miranda seeks to bring her humanity and authentic self to her work. As a client, you can expect to be met with warmth and a sense of humour. Recognizing that many traumas occur in the context of relationships, her practice is rooted in establishing a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, cared for and safe to be their authentic selves too.

The things that happen to us do not have to define us. In therapy, Miranda hopes that you will find an empowering and encouraging space to define for yourself who you are, what matters to you and what possibilities the rest of your life can hold.

Outside of work, Miranda can be found hiking Hamilton’s trails with her family, gardening, doing artsy-crafty things or watching too much reality TV.
